My mother has eagerly anticipated today:  vaccination number two has been achieved!

Her three daughters have been rather protective.  For the past year, we’ve encouraged her to stay home more often than not.  She’s been a good soldier about it all… and has become increasingly frustrated with the seemingly endless list of things she can’t do.

For her three children, it’s been a wakeup call about just how much those social interactions mean to a person.  During the past few months especially, we’ve been more determined to provide some distractions, to check-in on a regular basis.

I’m thrilled—beyond thrilled—that Mom is soon gaining her freedom.  But my silver lining has been my increased conversations with my mother!
