It’s a dreary day in Vermont, rainy and gloomy all day long.

But inside, I’ve got the Christmas tree lights on.  It makes the room feel snug and cozy.

Turns out I am following another encouragement from our governor.  He has called it “Vermont Lights the Way” and says it is a campaign to lift our spirits and to cut back on COVID fatigue.  “Let’s get creative.  To show the world that Vermonters are here for each other, that we care about one another, that even through these dark and difficult times, Vermont lights the way,” said Governor Scott on the Friday after Thanksgiving at his latest twice-weekly COVID press conferences.

This is one I am happy to comply with—and it’s my silver lining for today to think of all these displays I’ll hopefully see popping up and around the area.
