Graduation Keepsakes (Silver Lining, 6-24-2020)

graduation

June 24, 2020

I just spent a few minutes on Youtube.  I watched the graduation video for the high school graduation.

I know it is not the same as being together, sitting on the football field, listening to the speeches live.  I am sorry for the seniors who did not get to experience their rite of passage as they had expected.

But at the same time, I actually enjoyed the video more.  For starters, I could hear all of the people who spokes—something that is pretty tricky if you are not directly in front of the speakers when it’s outside.

Each graduate had the opportunity to do a short piece on themselves, and this was absolutely the best part!  Their individuality shows through so much more than just a walk up to receive their diplomas.

As one more bonus silver lining for this group:  they have a video keepsake of this special day.  Congratulations, class of 2020!

Silver Linings…

started as my personal response to 2020’s global pandemic of COVID-19.  When I published them locally,  I was surprised by how much people responded to them.

I hope they bring some positivity to you, too, during this unsettling time
