Family Cleaning Time (Silver Linings 7-18-2020)

basement

July 20, 2020

We spent almost the whole day cleaning.  With most of the family members participating.  And we tackled the ugliest spaces of all:  the garage and the basement.

We do this periodically, so I can’t claim that this is a novelty.

However, this cleaning spree falls into the “silver lining” category because of the temperament of all of us who were together doing it.  We two parents took on the chore, but our oldest son and our youngest, our daughter, both ended up helping.  Again, if things had gone according to our summer 2020 plan, both of them would have been off doing something else.

Instead, we actually had quite a bit of fun together.  (Well, perhaps we parents had more fun than the two of them.)  It’s a silver lining for me anyway!

Silver Linings…

started as my personal response to 2020’s global pandemic of COVID-19.  When I published them locally,  I was surprised by how much people responded to them.

I hope they bring some positivity to you, too, during this unsettling time
